Autumnal Masculine card with Colorful Seasons

We were priding ourselves that we hadn't turned our heating on yet!  But when the ladies came for my workshop the other day it came on!

We had fun decorating the very cute Mini Pizza boxes, one box had notelets and the other we filled with candles.  I will try and remember to post some pics!

In the mean time here is my autumnal card. Colorful Seasons is one of those sets which I have neglected a bit after initial use, but so perfect for all seasons!

Painted Harvest, watercolour with sunflowers

Being a demo you come across some incredible, talented and gifted creators and artists.  I came across a lady called Kin Jolly, I just love what she manages to create with Stampin' Up! stamps, usually by a particlar technique she has some amazing results. Go and check out her blog here: Stampin Artfully

The original colours for this card came from the Stampin Up Colour Challenge and were perfect for this rich artsy card.

DISCLAIMER: very sadly.... I managed to ruin the card I made for the video (moment for tears....) So please, enjoy the video with this in mind!

Vintage Christmas Tree Card with Merry Mistletoe

When viewing grey pictures like the images of the stamp set it is useful to have the catalogue which provides lovely ideas of how it can be used   And with some creative thinking  and a splash of colour the possibilities are endless- I might over use that phrase but I think I will have to make it my crafting moto!

Here is a card I created mainly with that mistletoe stamp to create a whole tree!  Finished off with this gorgeous double sided ribbon, one side cross stitch the other side ribbon.
Here is the video tutorial of how it was made:

All things great and small

Another part of my personality is enjoying organising the little details at events.  I had the joy of organising a friends baby shower.

I got to work on the favours first, using the gorgeous little wood crate framelit die.  I some powder pink card stock with flowers from the matching wood words stamp set and filled it with treats including a mini jam, mini biscuits and a paper tea bag that I filled with an actual teabag.  Popped some cellophane around and finish with a bow.

The rhyme on the tag I made up myself! It reads: "Here is a treat for being so sweet.  To have with your cuppa tea, while we wait in expectancy" The tag punch came in handy to finish these off.
I adapted a tutorial to make a shallow box so that it could be filled with prayers for the new family and wishes for baby.  I used matching DSP (designer series paper) to go with the favours.

This last picture is a nappy baby! Some may find it sweet... some may find it creepy?  Thankfully the pregnant friend liked it! It is a baby grow filled with nappies to give the impression of a sleeping baby. Well I thought it was sweet...
