Easy Vellum Mini Lampshade

Take a relatively cheap wine glass and battery operated tealight; what have you got? Not a lot! lol.  But wait, look what happens when you print, stamp, cut and even emboss on it.  It turns a boring glass into a unique home decor piece!
This was my first attempt using Colorful Seasons in blueberry bushel for the flowers and balmy blue for the branches.  I demonstrated it in a class and the attendees did their own versions.

I had another go at making the lampshade, this time with more subtle colours of seaside spray, soft sea foam and crushed curry.

After using the Sea of Textures stamp set I thought it would be fun to create a shade with the stamp set and on YouTube live let the viewers chose some colours.  Poor Mr Octopus wasn't fully stamped, hence the boo boo on his head.  Someone mentioned the fact that it would make a lovely Christmas decoration and would look good with heat embossing.  As I had already glued the shade together I had the idea of embossing just the rim in gold. Well in my opinion it really sets the piece off! I love it!

Here is me in action making the lampshade on YouTube:

As some of you have requested it, I have included the template here so you can print it off and use it yourself.
