I decided to hop over to see what the latest Global Design Project was #GDP084. This challenge was case the Designer- Michelle Last, Here is her card which was pictured for inspiration, and below is my take on it.
The more I worked on the card the more little details and touches I wanted to add.
I was inpired by Kim Oliver at K.O Creations Cards who won and was in the top 5 pick last week for the colour inkspiration challenge and used her idea of using part of the embossing folder to ink the hexagon embossing folder DETAIL 1. This paved a way to use the bee, which I then added the
DETAIL 2. Of the vellum wings for the bee.
DETAIL 3 the gold string was a last minute addition as I wanted it to look like a bee trail.
DETAIL 4. using tineless textures to create a subtle pollen look in the background.
DETAIL 5. The stitched framelit which I originally cut in white and then decided to ink to incoporate the Basic Grey background card.
DETAIL 6. The doiley was inked and die cut to fit the stitched frame

DETAIL 7. A small strip of lined dsp was put down the side for a finishing touch
DETAIL 8. I put a diamante right in the centre to help as a small but significant focal point.
So all in all a thought through card!
