The Start of the Journey...Taking the Plunge!

I have been cardmaking and crafting for nearly 20 years!  I used to love making thank you notes as a child and in my teens I began experimenting with wrapping paper and card.  As the years went on my small collection of bits and bobs grew from a couple of boxes to... well a room full now!  I found cardmaking fun and therapeutic. I enjoyed the process of making something from nothing and pleasure from giving cards away.  I managed to sell cards in a few local shops but always begrudged making 6 of a kind.  I began gaining commissions and made cards to suit peoples occasional needs.  I enjoyed using scrapbook papers and rubber stamps to make cards that would sometimes take hours! My sister Ruth at Artful Stampin became an independent demonstrator for a craft company called Stampin Up!  I had come across their products before, but it now opened up a whole new world of lovely stamps and dies (shapes) to work with.  After having used their products for a good few years and feeling a bit stuck in a rut.
